The Adventures of kae-KO

Good Monday Morning Readies, I just came back from the polyclinic and got my x-ray results. According to the radiologist, I had a subluxation of my left joint. What is subluxation? According to Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary: sub·lux·a·tion \ˌsə-ˌblək-ˈsā-shən\ noun: partial dislocation (as of one of the bones in a joint).

I don't know how many levels of injury there is, and whether grade II is of any severeness, but anyways I was referred to an orthopedic (again; previously for my scaphoid injury) and the next available date would be January 25th, next year. By then my shoulder would have probably healed or probably sustained some complications. For now, all I have are my painkillers and I'll do my own physio, hopefully to make it feel better.

The doctor issued me a light-duty slip, which doesn't really matter, and asked if I needed medical leave. I thought, it's alright, because work needs me. How loyal. Do you know that my managers even asked me to come back last two days during my medical leave to work; "Yah, you can do light work like cashiering, etc". But there will bound to be situations whereby you have to get into the room, carry some heavy and light boxes and get new stocks for the customers. So I'll just report for work tomorrow on, it wouldn't make any difference.

Anyways work has been pretty mundane recently. Being in a senior post, there's higher expectancy and dear superiors just pass on instructions and we have to do it, and sadly sometimes there isn't much manpower for us to utilize and I feel a little less accomplished at the end of the day knowing I drained myself and yet not much has been done. I think the direction the store is going to now is different from what it was some time back. Now it's more towards acing great standards to win over the auditors. Sadness.
