Good morning Readies, it's been quite some time again that I've updated. No New Year's greeting even on here. Anyways happy new year to all Readies. I've been away from work, home and loved ones for the past week or so until yesterday.
Had to go for re/ser/?vis/t. So they've revised the so-called syllabus, and the duration has been extended from 8 days to 18 days. Thank you previous batches for your constructive feedback. So 8 days of training, followed by 10 days of sta/ti/o/n attachment.
Training was fun but then my heart was missing my loved ones so much. We could book out, but will have to return by midnight. Cinderella. Absence does make the heart grow fonder.
The guys in my pla/t/oo/n were great, cooperative, communicate well and enthusiastic. Hope to see the same batch of people next year, or maybe I won't be able to if I have school.
I applied for a degree in an arts school. Apparently they did not receive my supporting documents, which I sent out a week ago. Could my envelope be of suspicious nature? Hope not, I have to get it in by this 25th or my application would be forfeited.
Today I aim to clear all administrative issues with regards to my ma/ke u/p pa/y for my re/ser/?vis/t. I'm not too sure if I can check the status of my documents which were supposed to be mailed to the arts school, but if possible, yes I will do so. Last but not least, start on building my portfolio.

Dear Readies, it seems that one by one, we are getting sick of working at where we're working now. Somehow the environment seems like chocolate coated vanilla.
I have my mind set, and next year shall see the end of this career and I shall hit the books once again. I thought the next intake is going to be March, but turned out to be January, followed by July. I guess my stay there would be extended till then unless I have something else popping out of my mind.
I dig the The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack. It has some fabulous tracks, but I think it only or probably appeals to Indie listeners. Got sounds of the Editors, Death Cab, Sea Wolf, etc. "Mama, I love you..."
So my parents are safely back from their pilgrimage, Alhamdulillah. They had the opportunity to buy stuffs for us despite their focus. So we got pistachios, sweet delicacies, prayer beads and mats, and more sweet stuffs. Now there's whole lot of love outside of this room that I'm in; relatives, siblings, nephews and nieces.
Will we be getting end year bonus? I could use some vacation next year. Furthermore I'm looking forward to next end year, even when this year's isn't over yet.
It sucks to know that I can't go for Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Killers live this year because of my in-camp training which will be on from 11 January 09 to 28 January 09. I managed to sell of my YYYs ticket, thank you buyer, and thanks to others who were interested.

The crowd at home is clearing now, and I can hear the crickets once again, together with my mom's hysterical laughter.
Shall pack my bag now for tomorrow. I haven't been to work today and the day before due to fever. Goodnight and Merry Xmas to those who love Santa's snowy beard.

Today was the most beautiful off day that I have ever had. It started with this,
 "Hood Morning"
After which I had breakfast at McDonald's after such a long time.
Afternoon was spent at home alone and it never felt better. I just miss those "after-school" afternoons, when you just get home from school at prob 1400hrs+? Did some housekeeping and I just lazed and tried so hard not to fall asleep. But I had to go out for lunch-dinner and also to beat the Z-monster.
I brought Dopey out for a ride, and it was thrilling. I got butt cramps for not cycling for a long time. Had Maggi Goreng at a hawker centre around Tampines, waited awhile and headed home by the same opposite route. Thrilling again. And it was mad nice to stumble upon this

It felt so nice, it's been so long since I've seen sunsets, enjoy the afternoon breeze and see the sun-setting. My working hours made me miss them. When will I see them again?

The days have been raining and there's nothing best but to stay put at home, enjoy the weather and rest your ass off. Today I decided to place the stickers I have been buying onto my fixie. And for some reason, the fixie now has a name, Dopey. So I have Unity and Dopey at home.
A couple of days back I spray-painted my riser bars and fork flat white, to make it look less stock. My grips are cheap and are torn on one end because my itchy fingers slit them, and after stretching it, it looks vaginal. I masked some printed details on the bars (brand and model) but it looks horrendous but managed to cover it up with stickers and it looks like this now:

I like to do what I do best, kind of mish-mashing stickers from same or different set to change it to another outlook. I also pasted some stickers on the seat-tube of the frame comprising of Tokidoki and The Hundreds, looking like this:

I also have a thing for slicing up a sticker and displacing them. Makes it look more interesting to me :) So overall my bike looks like this now:
